Our Big Girl turns 8!

Here she is, our BIGGEST girl!! She has blossomed this year! Cliff and I still cannot believe she is 8! This year has been wonderful for her and new experiences! She is reading pretty well and really enjoys learning! Loves to write and still loves to draw! That is her favorite past time! So if she is delinquent on chores, thats why, she is in the midst of a grand portrait that just cant wait.

She is such a sweet girl and is truly growing not just physically but also personally. We have such wonderful conversations about God, about all the good character traits we all want to see in our kids. She also, loves to help with her younger sisters especially Rebekah. She will even change a wet diaper! She is learning how to be deligent and orderly as a young lady!

This year we celebrated with the day in Flagstaff; lunch at our favorite China Star Buffet, shopping for the perfect fabric for her Renaissance Dress (pictured) and then home for a homecooked Chicken Marsala dinner with Ice cream cake. Yummy!!

Thank you all for the kind gifts and cards for our oldest! She is truly a blessing to our family! We love her so!!

Christmas in Maryland!

This year we spent Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years in Frederick Maryland. We had a wonderful time! The kids loved being with their extended families for all of the festivities. Not to mention, we made it to the Nutcracker and a beautiful Christmas Musical at Trinity Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Sarah and Anna took private swim lessons at Ft. Detrick pool and are now bonafide fishes! By the end of their session, both girls were swimming in the deep end, surface diving, jumping off the side or diving board and knew most strokes. They loved it!!
We particularly enjoyed the mountain life at the Scire Estate or Gambrill Hide-away! Grandma and Grandpa took great care of us and made sure the girls learned a few things on their horses as well as how to take care of them. We enjoyed sledding, snow-girl building and power outages!!

Ok, so Beka is our poser! Not to mention she LOVES food most particular are green veggies! Her fav is garlic sauteed green beans. Its our family favorite!! (Summer '07)

Rebekah Turns 1

Here she is! Our youngest is 1! We had a very relaxed barbeque with friends to celebrate her first year. Of course, she was completely exhausted for cake so we gave her cake the next morning after breakfast. She enjoyed every little last bit!! Here are a few pics of our Beka Jane!
